Treadmill Removal, Disposal and Recycling

Do you need a treadmill removal service?  Maybe it’s broken or maybe you’re upgrading to a new one.

You loved having your treadmill but now it has to go. Having to dispose of a treadmill doesn’t have to be a burdensome task.

Luckily there are several options for getting rid of your treadmill. You can partially recycle, donate, or hire a junk removal company to dispose of a treadmill.

How can I recycle a treadmill?

When it comes to recycling a treadmill you’ll have to do a little disassembly. With some basic household tools you can take your treadmill apart to get to the pieces that you can recycle.

The main parts you’ll be left with are: metal, electronics, the plastic casing, a running belt and the running board. From those pieces you can recycle the metal and electronics.

If you’re crafty you can find some other uses for the left over parts. The Running belt could be cut up and disposed of in the regular trash.

And the remaining parts depending on the size might also be able to be disposed of with the regular trash, but be sure to check with your local waste management first.

Donate or give your treadmill.

Does your treadmill still work? There are many charities that will gladly accept them.

Some charities will even come to your house to pick up your treadmill. If they won’t pick up your treadmill and you still want to donate it, you’ll have to take the time and energy to get the treadmill to the nearest charity.

An added benefit to donating your treadmill to a charity is that it can be tax deductible thereby saving you money.

You can find local charities by searching on Google, Facebook, Yelp or the Yellow Pages.

Another option you have is to give your treadmill away. You can use Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace to post your items and list it as free. The added benefit is that you’ll probably find someone who’ll gladly pick it up which will save you time and energy.

Sell your treadmill.

Maybe you paid a lot of money for your treadmill and it’s still in good working condition. Why not sell it and make some money?

Tip: When selling your treadmill be sure to take multiple pictures from different angles to showcase it’s in good condition.

Also include a brief description of why you’re selling your treadmill so people don’t think you’re selling them a treadmill that doesn’t work.

And finally do a quick search to see what other used treadmills are selling for in your area. If you price your treadmill slightly below everyone else, you’ll probably sell it quicker.
