Rent a dumpster or hire a dump pick up service?

There are three options when trying to haul debris to the dump or recycling facility.

Usually the most cost effective way is to do it yourself, granted you have the time and means and are not neglecting more important things.

If you do it this way you’ll need your own vehicle (which you may have to rent), labor and helpers, time and know-how where to responsibly dispose of things that may be required to recycle.

This is also a great way to waste a perfect day or better yet, your day off from work. The other two options are to hire a professional garbage removal company or rent a dumpster. 

Most home renovation projects or general commercial cleanups usually are better off hiring a rubbish removal company. When you hire a professional junk pick up service like ourselves, all you have to do is call, set up an appointment, and let the magic disappearing act begin.

When should I rent a dumpster?

This option is usually reserved for large home building projects where an entire house is being built or completely gutted out. But for small home renovation projects it is still more cost effective to hire a trash and junk removal service company.

When renting a dumpster you’ll load the dumpster yourself until you finish the project. Once the renovation has ended you then call the dumpster rental company and they’ll pick up the cargo.

What happens to trash and junk once it’s taken away?

We take special attention and care to sort items to their appropriate destination and if you’re able to help sort some of these reusable items it is always much appreciated.

If we find reusable items, we’ll donate them to the local Goodwill at 9826 NE 132nd St. or to a Habitat for Humanity or a Value Village or the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store on 7304 NE Bothell Way in Kenmore.

Cardboard, metals and appliances would then be sorted to either the Shoreline Sorting Facility or the Factoria Facility.   We strive to keep our beautiful Finn Hill community and the State of Washington environmentally healthy and clean for many generations to come.
